Curly hair
Defining your care regime

Curly hair, whether natural or permed is often coarse, stubborn and difficult to comb when wet. Natural curls result from a curvature in the hair's root. When the hair curves it compels the cuticle to lift, so that the external cuticle layers do not lie tight together. This leaves the hair feeling brittle and looking dull.

On permed hair, chemicals change the hair structure to achieve a curl, which can be particularly hard on the hair. Care products geared to meet the special needs of stubborn hair should form part of the daily hair care program.

The right type of care for curly hair

  • Use leave-in products in order to keep the hair nourished all day.
  • Do not brush your hair when it is dry as this will break the curls and cause the hair to frizz. Rather use your fingers to separate your curls.
  • For curly hair, weekly intensive hair treatments are an absolute must.
  • Use a caring styling mousse after cleansing and conditioning to define your curls.
  • Schauma Yoghurt & Aloe moisture is perfect for curly hair, adding vital moisture without weighing the hair down.
  • GLISS KUR Hydra Oil from the Asia Beauty range provides extra hydration for stubborn, curly hair.
