Where should I go?

The beauty of colouring your hair is the choice. You are completely at liberty to choose any colour, however the general consensus is that certain colours work better with certain skin colours and eye tones:

Cool tones
Skin with pale pink undertones is classified as cool. Your eyes are usually blue or grey. Blue-eyed blondes are the classic male fantasy but don’t underestimate blue-eyed brunettes, as the right shade of brown makes your eyes look more intensely blue. Grey eyes go with everything.

Top tip: if you are prone to blushing or redness, use predominantly ash tones to neutralise the pinkness in your skin.

Warm tones
A warmer toned complexion typically has yellow undertones, or you could have an olive skin, Mediterranean, Asian, dark or black skin. Your eye colour tends to be brown, hazel or green. Intense dark chocolates, deep reds and burgundies will have an energising effect on your skin tones.

Top tip: brown eyes, dark brows and blonde hair need careful blending. Rather go for golden, rich browns and melting, milk-chocolate shades.
